You’re Invited to a Holiday Tea!

Text Box: On Friday, November 30th, the Corvallis Branch AAUW Holiday Tea will give you an opportunity to buy lovely poinsettia plants, thus decorating your home and supporting AAUW's Educational Foundation fundraiser at the same time.
Again this year you don't have to preorder or prepay. Just come to Shirley Wirth's home on Friday, Nov. 30th, and choose the poinsettia plants you want. It's a "first come, first served event." Tags will be available for you to claim your selections. We'll have 55 beautiful plants from Peoria Gardens: mostly red, Text Box: some pink, and a few white ones.
The tea starts at 4 pm and concludes at 6:00. Shirley's address is 3994 NW Boxwood Dr.
Each plant is $10. You can pay that day with either cash or check. If paying by check, make your check out to Corvallis AAUW.
As usual, please bring a small plate of goodies to share, no more than a dozen or so.
If you don't want poinsettias you can still make a tax-deductible donation to EF in any amount. Be sure to make that check out to AAUW Educational Foundation, and bring it with you, or send it to Text Box: our treasurer Sue Borden: 1150 NW Oak Ave. Corvallis 97330, before December 31st.
The Educational Foundation provides scholarships and grants for women (Julia Mbuthia is just such a recipient!) and supports various research projects concerning and benefiting women and girls.
